February 17 - 18, 2020 - Teaching : FINALIZATION AND CLOSING WORKSHOP ON PEDAGOGICAL REFLECTION (UNIVERSITY OF ANTANANARIVO)

The ARES Institutional Support Program of the Belgian Cooperation aims to improve teaching at the University of Antananarivo. This choice is based on the partner’s priorities and his request to be accompanied in the LMD. It is also justified by an expected impact on the other components and functions of the University of Antananarivo. The objective is for the University of Antananarivo to train graduates in greater harmony with the needs of the country

The program is divided into 6 parts :

• R1. The training offer is more adapted to the needs of society
• R2. The orientation of students corresponds more to the needs of society
• A3. Teaching methods and approaches are made more effective
• R4. Training is further enriched by research
• R5. Teachers and students have more access to up-to-date information
• R6. A continuous monitoring and evaluation system of the teaching system is in place

And for R1, the targeted result involves paying attention to the demands of the labor market and the non-market needs of society, specifying the criteria for employability (and civic engagement), and responding to them by continuous improvement of the training offer, both in terms of specialized scientific disciplines and in terms of cross-disciplinary skills, to be acquired through specific courses, ways of teaching or other learning paths (internships, etc.).

This workshop is therefore the culmination of considerable collective work undertaken since 2014.
