On the morning of September 2, 2022, the Ambassador of Japan HIGUCHI Yoshihiro went to the University of Antananarivo Ankatso, he was received by the President of the University, Mr RAVELOMANANA Mamy Raoul and his team, to plant together Japanese cherry trees, harvested and raised in the garden of the residence of the Ambassador of Japan in lvandry.
Today a dozen seedlings were symbolically planted in the alley at the entrance of the university, which will be followed, on another more favorable day, by a planting of a hundred seedlings that will contribute to the embellishment of the alley and green spaces of the university to commemorate the 60th anniversary of friendly relations between Madagascar and japan.
The Embassy of Japan is very grateful to the University of Antananarivo and the team of the presidency led by Professor RAVELOMANANA Mamy Raoul for having favorably responded to the call of the Embassy of Japan for the Sakura memorial planting campaign.
